Newborn Photography- By a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse
Preserve the first memories of their tiny little toes, and that small button nose in the earliest days of your little one becoming earthside. Your personalised digitial collection will be a combination of posed and candid portraits of baby, siblings and family. These will be your family’s first and most precious memories, and are ones that will be treasured for a lifetime or even passed on through generations.
The Studio
My cosy newborn studio is located in Rolleston, Christchurch where I have a vast selection of stylish, organic and handmade props, outfits, bonnets and headbands to be used within your newborn session. Your gallery will be complete with a variety of boho, autumnal, to nude tones and will include images of not just baby, but of the whole family too.
Newborn sessions are $500, which includes the session and ten digital images. Additional collections begin at $150.
FAQs
WHEN SHOULD I BOOK?
Newborn sessions are best completed in the first 16 days of life. This is when your baby is still fresh, sleepy and curly! Limited spaces are available however, so please get in touch before he/ she arrives! Bookings can be made via my contact form (below) or email info@sallyannephotography.com
HOW DO I BOOK WHEN I DON'T KNOW WHEN MY BABY WILL COME?
Babies are unpredictable! We just pencil in your due date and when baby arrives you just flick me a message & we will finalise the details of your shoot (day and time).
How does it work with siblings?
Photoshoots run for roughly two hours which can be tough for little people to sit through. For this reason, I do family and sibling photographs at the start of the session so that siblings are free to go home/ to the park/ play outside for the rest of the session. I do have colouring in and an ipad available if this is not an option.
WHY INVEST WITH ME?
I am a qualified and registered neonatal intensive care nurse, and have years of experience handling the tinest humans on the planet (we birth and care for babies from less than 500 grams!). I am therefore confident in handling babies, and am meticulous to the safety of your newborn. It is paramount that absolutely every baby is handled appropriately and absolutely no baby will be posed in any way shape or form that puts them at risk! Given this experience specifically for newborn babies, there may be some tips and tricks you learn from a session with me, that will help with life at home.
